About Us

Every man at one point in his life will utter the same five regrettable words, "We should build a bar." And a bar we built.

 

When Matthew and I started this bar back in 2020, we had a vision in mind- the vision to build the perfect bar. A bar where we can play our own music, drink as much as we wanted, no last call, and when all is said and done we walk upstairs and put it all to rest.

I, Daniel, began my bartending journey a couple of years prior. I am now licensed and often referred to as "the best bartender ever." If you look above the bar you'll even see my permit. In the Fall of 2020, we got cutting wood and assembling what would also turn into "the best bar ever."

Some often wonder why "Ryder Ranch"? Ryder is Matthew's alter ego. For years now Ryder has graced us with his presence shortly after a successful binge. Ryder is representative of a good time. When Ryder's out, it's sure to be a good night. If you find yourself in the midsts of the man, myth, and legend, pour him a couple of shots and try to get him to wear the UW helmet. It's funny.

At the end of the day, we didn't do this for ourselves, we did this for the bettering of the drinking culture. If you're feeling thirsty, and not just for a world-class cocktail, stop by the Ranch for a good time.
